I met up with Lisa, Doug and their son on Saturday for some photos.  What a good looking family, wonderful to spend time with them.  Matt's a handsom young man and kept everyone laughing and very much at ease.  We got lots of fun shots of Matt with his parents.  And I have posted a couple of my favorite shots of the day.

 Thanks Tanya

Engagement Session with Lindsay and Chris

Lindsay, Chris and I met on a wonderful fall day last Sunday.  We went up to Purple Woods in north Durham for some casual pictures amongst all the Maple trees.  You could see all trees set up for the Maple Fest next spring.  We had a great time, Chris and Lindsay are a very cute couple, very much in love and were up for anything.  So off we went through the park and looked for different backgrounds to express ourselves.  I had a lot of fun, I hope you like some of my favorites from our shoot.
Good luck running the Hamilton Marathon Lindsay :)

The Wedding of Matt & Laura

On October 2nd Matt & Laura tied the knot and enjoyed a perfect autumn day amongst family and friends.  A traditional church wedding was followed by pictures at Edward Gardens in Toronto.  The gardens allowed for a variety of photo opportunities with different settings all around.  Leaving the gardens we headed to the Crystal Fountains Banquet Hall in Markham for the fairy tale reception.  The venue was gorgeous and served as a great back drop for an evening full of love and laughter.  Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the day.

Matt and his mom had a little bet if he would cry or not.  Can you guess who won?

Thanks again for a great day.

Marie Visser

Marie approached me a few weeks ago to take some shots of her as she formally launches her campaign for Clarington Public School Board Trustee.  Marie has been a friend of our family for over 10 years and spending time with her always leads to laughter.  The election is on October 25th and these shots will be used on Marie's website and in various media publications.

The Wedding of Chris and Joanne

Spending this past Saturday with Chris and Joanne as they celebrated their wedding day together was so much fun.  This couple is fun loving and they exude an energy that makes everyone around them feel relaxed and happy.  The wedding ceremony was held at Carruther's Creek Golf Course in Ajax and although the threat of rain was present right up to the moment the bride walked down the aisle it held off allowing Chris and Joanne to exchange their vows atop a bridge with their guests looking on.  We were able to make use of the golf course scenery for some shots and also the green house.  The reception was held at the Hilton  Garden Inn Ajax where the celebration continued with dinner, dancing and lots of laughter.  I really enjoyed being a part of Chris and Joanne's wedding.  I felt like I was smiling the whole day and hopefully the photos tell the same story.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Thanks again, David

Wedding of Courtney & Russ

Courtney and Russ got married in sunny Mexico in June however Courtney's Mom, Joyce, had asked me in January if I could shoot the post-nuptual reception and I said yes without hesitation!  I first got to know this amazing family by shooting the wedding of Joyce's other daughter, Jennifer, 3 years ago and the relationship has continued over the past few years.  Spending the afternoon with Courtney and Russ and the entire family brought back great memories from Jen and Ryan's wedding but what I found was that I was having almost as much fun as they were!  What a great time we had laughing and capturing some great moments.

I enjoyed being a part of another Jackson family celebration.  Here are a few of my favorite shots from the day. Enjoy!

Gage

Emily and Christian invited me back to take a few pictures of their expanded family with their latest addition; Gage.  Every bit as cute as his older brother Colton, whom I have had the priviliage of photographing a few other times, Gage was a great little model.  Giggles, gurgles, hugs and kisses are a photograhers dream and all were plentiful when I was with Emily, Christian and their boys.  Here are a few of my favorite shots.  Enjoy!

Baby Leah

Watching a couple evolve is an amazing adventure for a photographer.  I first met Carolyn and Ryan a few years ago when I was asked to shoot their wedding.  Through the engagement shoot and wedding day experience I got to know them and their fun loving attitudes.  And now they have added little Leah to the mix and the couple is now a threesome and couldn't be any cuter!  I spent the morning at their home and caught some shots of Leah in a variety of outfits and emotions.  It is great to see Carolyn and Ryan go from being a wonderfully close and happy couple to proud joyful parents.  Here are a few of my favorites from my time with them.  Enjoy!

Engagement Session with Matt & Laura

I had a fun Sunday morning this past weekend when I met up with Matt and Laura on the property surrounding their apartment.  It reminded me of a resort with all kinds of trees, bridges and waterfalls.  Great spots for pictures!  Matt and Laura are a great couple and a lot of fun to work with, and with Laura`s infectious laugh the shoot was fun and full of smiles.  I can`t wait for the wedding in October, Laura is going to be a beautiful bride and Matt`s a pretty handsome man himself.
Thanks for a great morning.

E Session with Kym & Justin

I have known Kym for almost 6 years and see her almost everyday so when she asked if I would photograph her wedding I was excited and very nervous as well.  Kym and Justin are a great couple.  Justin, a volunteer fire fighter in Holland Landing, is very easy going and relaxed.  Kym has very specific ideas of what she wants - and why shouldn't she?  She's the soon-to-be bride! Kym wanted to have some photos at sunset so we decided to journey to Wasaga Beach.  We made our way into Wasaga Beach and the town  of Tiny and Balm Beach where it had a little bit of everything; rocks, beach and most importantly a nice sunset.  It was a lot of fun! I hope you like a few of my favorite pictures of this perfect couple.

Thanks Kym and Justin for a great time, David
