Engagement Session with Mike & Tania

I met up with Mike and Tania today at Cullen Gardens in Whitby, to our surprise a kids party was happening at the same time. It took everything Tania and I had to hold Mike back from jumping in the jumping castle with all the kids. We had a fun time taking advantage of the different heritage homes and covered bridge. Mike and Tania arrived with big smiles that lasted right till the end. Can't wait for October 17th for the wedding day, I know it will be a romantic day with two people that are made for each other. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the days session.

The Wedding of Lesley & Peter

The wedding day of Lesley & Peter was full of high energy. I started at the bride's parent's house and the air was ripe with anticipation for the ceremony. The day was perfect with warm temperatures and sunny skies. We went outside for some shots of the bride, her bridesmaids and parents. Upon arriving at the 4Seasons Golf and Country Club in Claremont everything was running on time and a calm was set when Lesley and Peter saw each other for the first time as she was walked down the aisle by her Dad. The ceremony was on the golf course overlooking the picturesque 1st hole.

We captured some family and group shots, including photos of friends and family who had travelled from Germany to share in the day, before scooting away in 2 golf carts provided for the Bride and Groom and photographer. It was quite the experience to be flying around the course finding great areas to shoot, including a fantastic metal bridge spanning a pond, with the great looking couple racing behind me!

The reception was wonderful with black, red and white colours accenting the room. Lesley and Peter scooted into the reception on their golf cart and the night began! Great day! Great night!

Engagement Session with Rachelle & Derek

I met up with Rachelle and Derek at their home in Port Perry, and we went for a short walk across the street from their house for a private little walk by lake Scugogg. The weather was just about perfect and the couple looked amazing. The more I look at the pictures the more I realize how good looking they are! And maybe even if I can say it ...'Hot'! We started off a little slow getting to know each other and I think in the end we were all very comfortable and it shows in the photos. The wedding is in June 2010 at St Leo's Church in Brooklin with the reception at Royal Ashburn.

The Wedding of Gaby & Rod

Arriving at the Old Mill on Saturday I felt like all of the pieces for the day were falling perfectly into place. The weather was fantastic, the venue is unique and offers so many picturesque opportunities and the bride and her bridesmaids were completely ready when I arrived. I started with some shots of Gaby and her girls in the bridal suite. Then, as if executing a high risk incognito operation, we moved throughout the inn together trying to avoid Rod and any chance of him catching a glimpse of Gaby before the ceremony. We were 100% successful! Catching a few minutes to head outside we managed to do some casual shots of Gaby, her mother, and her bridesmaids before heading to the chapel. The chapel at the Old Mill is very quaint with candles hanging from the high ceiling and stone walls surrounding the couple offering a very intimate feeling. Following the ceremony the bridal party heading outside to the bridal gardens where I was able to catch shots of the families and bridal party. Gaby and Rod were very easy going and were willing to try anything. It made for a very relaxing afternoon and one which I hope they enjoyed as much as I did. As the bridal party and family went inside to join in on some of the reception cocktails I had the opportunity to stay back with Gaby and Rod for a little while. They were so happy and so comforted to be with one another as husband and wife. I caught some up close and personal pictures of them prior to heading back inside for the reception. They are such a great couple and being able to share in their day was fantastic.
